Well hello there strangers!
Oh yes! The time is drawing near. We have signed a deal that will ensure our forthcoming album will be released in 2012 and can't wait to tell you all about it. Our silence on here over the last few weeks has been a result of lots of behind the scenes comings-and-goings and planning and all that stuff but we can confirm right now that we're stoked to be joining an awesome roster with some of our favourite bands. Those who follow us on Twitter and Facebook may have already figured it all out but we will be making the official announcement after this coming weekend and our appearance at 2000 Trees. We can also confirm we will have a new single coming in September with the new album dropping in October. And we can certainly confirm that we are very, very exited. So excited that we decided to drink champagne and open the bottles in the 'sabre' style, employed exclusively by the rich and the vain. If you're incredibly bored and would like to see someone genuinely surprised by their ability to have been successful in something they thought probably wouldn't work, you can watch the video below...
We've got quite a few festivals coming up this summer to get the blood pumping, with some new additions over the last few weeks. First of all, we've got 2000 Trees this coming Friday where we'll also be rubbing shoulders with our new label staff and label-mates and filming some cool stuff for their webshow! Then to Sunday, and our appearance at the incredible Mighty Sounds festival in the Czech Republic. Always a winner, I hope to see some friendly British faces over at the show as well as peeps from every corner of the Globe. And we've got many more fests coming up across the next couple of months, which we'll update you with more details about very soon...

Also highly worth reading is this awesome article on how Ginger Wildheart's cracking new album beat huge pop acts to the punch in the mid-week charts. Inspiring and exciting! Congratulations Ginger!
Simultaneously, over the pond, Laila, Coolie Ranx and I worked on with Reel Big Fish (official) on their new album on a track called 'Hiding in my Headphones'. The way it was recorded was very interesting, we really didn’t know what the finished product was going to sound like and it was a great surprise to hear what they had done in the studio with the vocals we did on demo loops! Check it out HERE. And rememeber to head over and pre-order RBF’s awesome new album HERE.
