The Boom Need You! Police Shut Down Paris Show!!

Hello poppets

I hope that most of you guys have gone over and checked out the exclusive play of 'Addicted To Bass' on Mike Davies' Punk Show on Radio 1. If you haven't yet done it, just follow this link HERE and go and press play on the iPlayer. 'Addicted To Bass' is on at around 01:56:30. Check it out and please let us know what you think! We haven't had much feedback yet and we're dying to know if you guys are into the direction of the track...

While we're on the subject, we really need a favour. We want Mike and Radio 1 to keep spinning 'Addicted To Bass' so we're gonna need you guys to pop over and give the track a request. And seeing as we were on the end of the show, we want to get a spin in the first hour! Please just follow the link HERE and request 'Addicted To Bass' by 'Sonic Boom Six'. When it says 'why do you think we should play it'? I'm hoping your answers are both hilarious and interesting. Take that as a challenge!

In other news, our re-scheduled album release show in Paris turned out to be quite the talking point. Till at Guerilla Asso managed to squeeze us and a band called Union Jack in the tiniest basement gig you've ever seen, the room was capacity packed and the show was going absolutely swimmingly. Suddenly, during the breakdown of 'Through The Eyes Of A Child' we are told to be very quiet. We jammed some reggae quietly while whispers and confusion abounded. Till took the mic and told everyone what was going on, but we couldn't understand. Suddenly, several Parisian coppers complete with sniffer dogs made their way into the basement (apparently, they very nearly came straight in with batons, riot-style but reasoning from Till made believe we would act civilised) and stopped the show for overcrowding and sent everyone home. Gutted!

After having our names taken and a whole lot of huffing and puffing they let us all go, all a little pissed off but also all aware that it could have been a lot worse if their original plan to storm the room riot-style would have been seen through. Thanks to Jean Nosaure, I've been able to upload some footage of the last moments of the show onto our YouTube... Watch as we jam on, much like the string quartet on the Titanic. Shortly after this final reggaematical stand, police stamp their hobnailed way into the room and ruin the show for everyone. That's twice in a row our France album launch has been thwarted; once by a terrible disease that no one wants around but can't get rid of... the other time by Laila's salmonella. Heh heh. Come and see the video HERE.

If you are affected by the contents of this video, go and download 'Piggy In The Middle' by Sonic Boom Six, just 79p on iTunes.

Remember, you've only got till Monday 25th October to get on the free gifts with the pre-orders of 'Rude Awakening'! Please come and do us proud and get your hands on a beautiful compact disc, sticker, postcard, button badge and Mp3 download all for a tenner... check it all out HERE.

Rightio, please stay tuned this weekend for news of the premier of the 'The Road To Hell Is Paved With Good Inventions' video early next week! And don't forget to request a bit of Boom on The Punk Show.

Until then!

Barney x
