SB6 Q&A Session! 'Redemption Song' Cover On YouTube!! Music Guidance Blogs A-Plenty!!!

Hey hey hey

It's been a while! We've been busy with some of the boring business side of things - and stuff is moving forward slowly but surely. The final mixes of the new album are ready and set for mastering and artwork is being formulated. Bottom line is, we need to wait for the sun to come out for this new album. And when you hear it, you'll know why.

There's plenty of other stuff that's going on in the meantime, so let's jump right in...

Q&A SESSION
Do you have any questions you've always wanted to ask us? Are you wondering what the new record sounds like or where we're up to with it? Are there any lyrics you want to ask about? Or anything from the history of The Boom that you want to know?

This weekend we're going to do our first Pledge Q&A session and the video will be going up on ourPledgeMusic page early next week. Just pop your questions in the comments thread onFacebook or Instagram and we'll do our best to answer the most interesting!

REDEMPTION SONG LIVE IN THE LIVING ROOM
On February 6th 2015, the reggae superstar Bob Marley would have been 70 years old. To celebrate, we recorded a cover of his classic ‘Redemption Song’, exclusively for pledgers. Now we're putting the video up onto YouTube for everyone else. Check it out HERE.

By popular request, we also provided this track as an MP3 download - only on PledgeMusic.com. Head over to http://www.pledgemusic.com/sonicboomsix to grab your MP3 of this song, the Operation Boombox mixtape and much more!

MUSIC GUIDANCE BLOGS

Barney's been busy writing some blogs imparting music guidance and advice that you may have missed. Over on Ideastap on How to Talk To The Crowd During A Gig, Barney Boom asks rapper Itch, solo singer Carmody and Robin Leitch, frontman of ska-core stalwarts Random Hand how they deal with an audience between songs.

In another blog called How To Remember Lyrics, Barney caught up with solo artist Sam Duckworth (ex- Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly), as well musician/actor Tom Burgess aka Stanley Knife  to find out how they commit their ideas to memory.

Finally, Barney gives his number one tip for you to make sure you're starting your band on the right foot via the Jägermeister Music UK blog... you just have to be old enough to drink!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST
Finally, the illustration for today's newsletter is brought to you by I LIKE TO DRAW PEOPLE of Instagram, with a cool cartoon of Laila and Barney. Be sure to follow the account and check out the offer "Want me to draw you? Feel free to leave me a message on one of my pictures and I'll see what I can do for you <3". Who can say fairer than that?! :)
